about

Not a Drop to Drink, Every Chance to Sink is an electroacoustic piece that was composed to accompany Natalie Ward's artwork in "The Tempest" exhibition at The Pyramid Gallery, York in August 2011.

It is crafted entirely from two recordings (each of around 50 seconds in length) - one of a moderate tidal sea from a distance (low tide recorded from the bottom of a cliff), the other of moderate waves lapping directly under an XY pair of microphones.
